Join this year’s Man Booker Prize shortlisted authors at Southbank Centre on 15 October in London as they read and discuss their work on the eve of the winner announcement.
The event is chaired by one of the UK’s favourite broadcasters and former Man Booker Prize judge, Radio 4’s James Naughtie.
For the first time, booklovers nationwide will be able to enjoy and participate in the shortlist event by watching it on the big screen at their local cinemas. Man Booker Live, an exciting new initiative for 2012, sees the Man Booker Prize for Fiction partnering with Picturehouse Entertainment to broadcast ‘Prize Readings’ live via satellite. Cinema audiences will be able to take part in the event via Twitter by sending their questions to #ManBookerLive.
For avid followers of the Man Booker Prize and bookgroups everywhere, the evening promises lively discussion and a unique opportunity to see and hear these outstanding writers the night before the winner of the £50,000 prize is decided.
